Library Instruction Services

Course-related instruction

  • Library instruction is available to any class offered at Savannah State University.

  • Our reference librarians provide each of the colleges with support to integrate information literacy into the curriculum.

  • Liaison librarians collaborate with faculty to design assignments, deliver instruction (in person and online), and assess learning.

  • Online research guides provide access to key resources in a variety of subjects.

Liaison librarians will provide course-related library instruction on request. This instruction focuses on helping students learn information-seeking and evaluation skills important to their field of study.

Library staff will need two (2) weeks notification to schedule library instruction for a course.

Faculty and students may request an appointment with a reference librarian for personal or in-depth assistance in learning new sources and skills, or stop by the reference desk at anytime for assistance.
